Athletic therapist
I’m Jean-David Gagné, the driving force behind the Pickleball Fitness Academy. My journey as an entrepreneur is fueled by unstoppable energy and a deep passion for sports. Before I ventured into sports therapy, I spent 15 years immersed in competitive swimming, which laid the foundation for my career. For the past 24 years, I’ve been an athletic therapist, helping motivated individuals of all ages achieve their goals. I graduated from Concordia University and sharpened my skills working with elite athletes in football, basketball, and triathlon.
But I didn’t stop there. My relentless pursuit of excellence took me to the international stage, where I had the privilege of participating in the Women’s Tour de France and working alongside stars from the national long track speed skating team and USA Cycling. In 2005, I was part of the medical team for the Jeux de la Francophonie in Niger, proving that no challenge is too great for me.
My thirst for knowledge led me to refine my expertise in the United States and France, particularly in golf biomechanics, where I trained with the personal coach of Canadian golfer Mike Weir. Whether at the CHEK Institute in California, Athletes’ Performance in Arizona, or the Titleist Performance Institute, I’ve always aimed for the highest standards.
Since 2001, I’ve been leading a team of therapists at various sporting events. I had the honor of heading the medical team at the 2022 ISU Four Continents Speed Skating Championships and the 2024 ISU World Cup Speed Skating in Quebec City.
After 22 years of specializing in golfers’ biomechanics, performance, and injury prevention, I’ve discovered a new passion: Pickleball. Through the Pickleball Fitness Academy, I’m channeling all my expertise to help players like you dominate on the court and optimize your health and well-being. Together, we’ll elevate your game to the next level.
